Many organizations utilize fixed stanchions or some variant in lieu of traditional, portable-based stanchions.  Our Stanchion Team has already covered Visiontron's Socket Mounted Retracta-Belt posts in our Solutions for Success series.  Understanding that not all end users who have fixed mount stanchion projects are able, or potentially willing, to drill hole into their floors to install the posts, Visiontron has an excellent solution in their Magnetic Mounted Retracta-Belt and Magnetic Mounted Conventional Post product lines.

 Available as an option for all Retracta-Belt Premium and Conventional Premium Posts, the Magnetic Mounting option is a great way to keep your posts in place throughout the day, without damaging your floors.  This solution is perfect for organizations that lease their space, need equipment on a public sidewalk, or are otherwise inhibited from drilling into the ground.  In any case, there are many advantages to using Visiontron's Magnetic Mounted Retracta-Belt and/or the Magnetic Mounted Conventional Post:

1. Strong Connection for Straight Presentation

The magnetic base utilizes extremely strong neodymium magnets that hold the post upright and in a straight line during normal use and low/medium impacts.  For removal when not in use, the post decouples from the base plate with additional force.  

2. Simple Installation Saves Labor and Time:

The installation of the magnetic mount base plate is very quick, saving money on labor costs, and only requires VHB tape, expoxy, or a drill.  Also, if you already have Visiontron Retracta-Belt posts with the standard portable stanchion base, you can easily convert those to a magnetic mount since they use the same base connection.  This saves you money from having to buy entirely new stanchions, and provides many opportunities to adapt the Retracta-Belt to your venue or event's needs.

3. Sturdy Base Plate Ensures Long-Term Durability

The chamfered edges on the base plate prevent tripping when posts are removed.  The posts 6" diameter base cover leaves a small footprint, allowing for an open queueing area.  Without a base, there is also less tripping hazard and more space for customers to roll luggage, equipment, or even shopping carts through the queue.
